The Kennedy Covenant Church family regularly challenges ourselves in witnessing, reaching out to others in Godly encouragement, and inviting people to a place where the Gospel is heard. We also enjoy practicing ministry and outreach in many other ways to follow the Great Commission in serving our church family and to be God’s hands in our community.

Missions

From our foundation there has been a strong sense of mission to reach the world’s people for Christ. “Mission” was even part of our original church name! We continue to regularly support missionaries locally and abroad financially. Our church family keeps in touch with our missionaries so we can pray effectively, support them, and keep up with their work.

Meet Our Missionaries

Flourish

Our multi-generational Wednesday night ministry is an opportunity to fellowship family-style with a meal, cleanup, and thematic study of scripture throughout the season. The first Wednesday of each month, we highlight a missionary we support and a missionary from the past. Flourish runs from the September through April.

Prayer

Prayer is a valued part of our church family. Please reach out with your prayer requests or praises on your heart and mind. Prayer together as a church body is part of our Sunday mornings, and there is a prayer time set aside the first Wednesday of each month.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6

Children & Youth

Sunday School, VBS, Youth Group & Bible Camp are ministries that have been involving the younger generations of our church throughout our history. We pray we disciple young hearts and minds who grow to understand the Bible, seek Jesus, and live Gospel centered lives.

Sunday School

Each Sunday (from mid-September to Mother’s Day in May) we read, study, and discuss the Bible together at 9:00AM before the Worship Service. There is an adult class, youth, and children’s classes.

Connected Women

The women in our church take the lead in serving at special events, funerals, and fellowship events as brin. They also organize meals trains for those with physical ailments or newborn babies. They host fellowship events for area women throughout the year. See what is coming up next.

Small Groups & Bible Studies

At any given time, there are a number of different Bible Studies or Small Groups regularly meeting to study God’s Word, encourage one another, and pray for one another prayer requests. For anyone desiring to get involved in a study, please reach out and we would be  happy to connect you!

Outreach

We have engaged in local outreach by preparing a meal for and serving our local healthcare facility employees while washing their cars during their shifts, helping to meet some upkeep needs for the Drayton Tisdale Senior Living Manor with a day project, and taken care of fall yard work for our neighbors among other outreach activities.

Care Groups

Our Deacons/Deaconesses each look after a group of our regular attendees. Each Deacon/Deaconess regularly keeps in touch with and prays for each individual and family under their care.
